Basketball Recap: Monticello's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Olympia last Tuesday, Monticello came back down to earth. The Monticello Sages lost 46-25 to the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers on Friday. The game marked the Sages' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Monticello's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-10.

The future could be bright for both Monticello and Paxton-Buckley-Loda: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Monticello will look to extend Prairie Central's four-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Paxton-Buckley-Loda will try to hand Cissna Park their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
