Palmyra-Macedon came tearing into Wednesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Wayne Eagles as they made off with a 52-26 win. Given the Red Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th in New York, while the Eagles are ranked 602nd in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palmyra-Macedon's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
