Recap: Dillon Wildcats vs. Lake View Wild Gators
The Dillon Wildcats fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Lake View Wild Gators on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wild Gators. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dillon in their matchups with Lake View: they've now lost four in a row.
Treasure Davis and Khwnylahi Mckinnon certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Davis dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Mckinnon scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Davis scored a full 41.7% of Dillon's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Campbell, who scored ten points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaleya Ford, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ford has scored at least 25% of Lake View's points. Another player making a difference was Zy'Kiara Waters, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
