Softball Recap: Dakota Valley Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Beresford

Dakota Valley faced Beresford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Watchdogs by a score of 10-8. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Watchdogs earlier this season, when they won 13-8.

Dakota Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Beresford, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Dakota Valley will square off against Sioux Falls Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beresford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-6 victory against Avon on the 17th.
