Baseball Game Preview: Perrin-Whitt Pirates vs. Bellevue Eagles

For the second straight game, Perrin-Whitt will face off against Bellevue. The Pirates will face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Perrin-Whitt has three straight victories, Bellevue has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Perrin-Whitt is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Bellevue on Tuesday. The Pirates not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024.

Cole Keeney made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Keeney was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ryan Richerson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Joe Welch, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Perrin-Whitt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Perrin-Whitt's record now sits at 3-4. As for Bellevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.
