Volleyball Recap: Round Valley Wins Going Away Against Hopi

Round Valley won the last time they faced Hopi and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Elks put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Skyler Hevener was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight aces and five digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Autum Webster also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Round Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in six consecutive contests.

Round Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Hopi, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Round Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Many Farms at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hopi will challenge rival Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
