The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings entered their tilt with the Glenn Falcons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Tippecanoe Valley snuck past Glenn with a 52-46 victory on Saturday. This was payback for Tippecanoe Valley, who suffered a 68-55 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading Tippecanoe Valley to victory were Stephen Akase and Ian Cooksey. Akase dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Cooksey scored 22 points along with 3 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Akase has scored at least 25% of Tippecanoe Valley's points.
Tippecanoe Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Glenn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tippecanoe Valley will challenge Peru at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Glenn, they will head out on the road to face off against LaVille at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
