Basketball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short

Mechanicsburg played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 54-26 loss at the hands of the Northmor Golden Knights. The Indians were down 48-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Mechanicsburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Joshua Titus, who posted seven points, and Luke Bowman, who scored six points.

Northmor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jax Wenger, who to rack up 21 points and three steals. Wenger is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 13 games he's played. Trevor Brubaker was another key player, on his way to 14 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Mechanicsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Northmor, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Mechanicsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northmor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-34 victory against Gilead Christian on the 22nd.
