Baseball Recap: Pearl City Comes Up Short

The Pearl City Wolves didn't have quite enough to beat the Stillman Valley Cardinals on Saturday and fell 6-5. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Allen and Will Birchen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Allen got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI, while Birchen scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit was Birchen's first of the season.

Pearl City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Stillman Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Pearl City will challenge Aurora Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pearl City's pitchers better be ready for this one: Aurora Christian has averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Stillman Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
