Aletheia Christian Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Central Christian Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Aletheia Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Jones Christian Academy as Aletheia Christian Academy made off with a 48-28 win. Aletheia Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Violet Martin, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Glazier, who scored eight points along with seven assists.
Meanwhile, Central Christian earned a 54-41 win over Santa Rosa Christian on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Central Christian.
Ayden Lippincott was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Hayek, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Aletheia Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Central Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Aletheia Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Central Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.5 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
