Softball Recap: Chillicothe Takes a Loss

Chillicothe fell victim to Sheridan and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Generals by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cavaliers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cambriana Rittinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

Chillicothe's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sheridan, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

As of now, neither Chillicothe nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
