Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Atomsmashers vs. Calvary Day Cavaliers

The Johnson Atomsmashers are taking a road trip to face off against the Calvary Day Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Johnson is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since January 26, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Jenkins by a score of 39-36. The game marked the Atomsmashers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Calvary Day was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 67-62 to Benedictine.

Calvary Day's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Johnson came out on top in a nail-biter against Calvary Day in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 54-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Johnson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
