Napaaqtugmiut extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brooke Schaeffer. The Napaaqtugmiut Lynx really took it to the Shishmaref Northern Lights for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-23 victory thanks in part to Schaeffer, who posted 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Napaaqtugmiut's points.

Shishmaref lost on Sunday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bertha Nayokpuk, who put up 11 points. Another player making a difference was Loretta Sinnok, who had eight points.

Napaaqtugmiut's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Shishmaref, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Napaaqtugmiut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shishmaref, they will be taking part in a tournament against Nome-Beltz at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
