Football Game Preview: Northampton Yellowjackets vs. Arcadia Firebirds + How To Watch

Northampton is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out to face off against the Arcadia Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. Northampton is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

On Friday, Northampton didn't have too much trouble with Snow Hill as they won 49-34. The Yellowjackets pushed the score to 42-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Arcadia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 26-20 to Nandua. The defeat continues a trend for the Firebirds in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost nine in a row.

Arcadia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Carson Wallace, Makai Banks, and Dale Lang picked up one apiece.

Northampton's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Arcadia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Northampton against Arcadia when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 41-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
