Softball Recap: Oak Park Takes a Loss

Oak Park lost against Royal back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Oak Park Eagles lost 9-2 to the Royal Highlanders. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Kirthi Paramasivan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoe Vanderbok, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Oak Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Royal, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Oak Park will head out on the road to square off against Rio Mesa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Royal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Bonaventure at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Bonaventure is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
