Winneconne came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Shiocton Chiefs. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lucky Pahl made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Winneconne's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Pahl was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Colson Kleinschmidt was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Broderick Stille, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Winneconne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.9 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.8.

Winneconne pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Shiocton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Winneconne has already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Manitowoc Lincoln on the 2nd. Shiocton has also already played their next matchup (against Manawa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
