Volleyball Recap: Matoaca Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hopewell on Tuesday, Matoaca came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Thomas Dale Knights on Thursday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Matoaca's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Thomas Dale, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Looking ahead, Matoaca will be playing in front of their home fans against Dinwiddie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas Dale, they will head out to square off against Monacan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
