Hoover gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Boardman Spartans 8-1. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Roman Geiselman looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
