Basketball Recap: Field Beats Cloverleaf for Their Fourth Straight Win

Field came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cloverleaf Colts as they made off with a 70-45 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Field had a senior duo take command as Delilah Rahe dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds and Abby Harlin went 6 of 11 on her way to 19 points and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harlin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mckayla Miller, who posted ten points.

Field was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cloverleaf only racked up three assists.

Cloverleaf's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Hibler, who earned 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Barth, who put up 13 points.

Field has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Cloverleaf, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Field will venture away from home to square off against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cloverleaf, they will head out to take on Woodridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
