River Hill faced Howard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Hawks came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-9.

Miranda Ball had an outrageously good game for Howard as she had 18 digs and three aces. What's more, Ball posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September.

River Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Howard, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

As of now, neither River Hill nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
