Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn). They strolled past the Gehlen Catholic Jays with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-49. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 74-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Gehlen Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will be home for the holidays to greet Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Gehlen Catholic will take on Newell-Fonda in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
