Ventura extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Fletcher Duffey. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Providence Patriots on Friday for which the team can thank Duffey, who had 15 digs and one assist. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more digs the last 11 times he's played.

Ventura's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Providence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Ventura didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Pacifica on the 18th. As for Providence, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dunn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Earwigs at the right time seeing as the Earwigs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
