Basketball Recap: Ethan Yenser's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boiling Springs over Bishop Mcdevitt

After flying high against Camp Hill last Wednesday, Boiling Springs came back down to earth. The Boiling Springs Bubblers fell to the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders 68-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (59), the Bubblers still had to take the loss.

Boiling Springs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Yenser, who posted 17 points. The matchup was Yenser's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Ascione, who put up 18 points.

The defeat snapped Boiling Springs' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-6 record. As for Bishop McDevitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boiling Springs will venture away from home to take on Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop McDevitt, they are taking a road trip to challenge Big Spring at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
