Baseball Recap: Brush Takes a Loss

If Brush was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Dawson School on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beetdiggers lost 10-2 to the Berthoud Spartans on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Beetdiggers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Brush saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Mettlen, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Brush's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Berthoud, their record now sits at 2-6.

Coming up, Brush will be playing in front of their home fans against Bennett at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berthoud, they will venture away from home to take on Northridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
