Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

Columbus East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Terre Haute South Vigo Braves. The Olympians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Columbus East's offense was headlined by Anika Jenkins and Addy Dean, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Payten Osborn and her nine assists.

Columbus East's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Columbus East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Union County on the 23rd. Terre Haute South Vigo has also already played their next contest (against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
