Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Takes a Loss

L'Anse Creuse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 67-55 to the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-53 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why L'Anse Creuse lost, don't look at Logan Kurtz. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Kurtz a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Jayden Fomby, who earned ten points.

L'Anse Creuse's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Grosse Pointe North, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

L'Anse Creuse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-56 victory against Fraser on the 14th. As for Grosse Pointe North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-43 win against Adrian on the 8th.
