Recap: North Springs Spartans vs. Chattahoochee Cougars

The North Springs Spartans pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Chattahoochee by a score of 58-56. While losing is never fun, North Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Chattahoochee is ranked 58th).

Despite the loss, North Springs still got an impressive performance from Esmer Madesko, who scored 31 points along with five assists and five steals. That was a full 55.4% of North Springs' points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Robert Harris, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

North Springs dropped their record down to 8-17 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Chattahoochee, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

North Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chattahoochee also has no future games currently scheduled.
