Recap: Tyngsborough Tigers vs. Clinton Gaels
The Tyngsborough Tigers''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over Clinton. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Tyngsborough's seven-point performance the contest before.
Bryce Goulet went supernova for Tyngsborough, rushing for 202 yards while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 191 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Tyngsborough also got help from Tim Guilmette who showed off his sure hands for 135 receiving yards.
Clinton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angel Lopez, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Connor Cox was another key contributor, gaining 100 total yards and two touchdowns.
Tyngsborough's win was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.6 points per game. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tyngsborough will take on Dracut at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maynard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maynard will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
