Basketball Recap: Na'sean Hardy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Point Loma over Canyon Hills

Point Loma has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 66-51 bruising from the Canyon Hills Rattlers on Tuesday. The Pointers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rattlers earlier this season, when they won 49-40.

Point Loma lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Na'Sean Hardy, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Jax Marple was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Point Loma's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Canyon Hills, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 10-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Loma will welcome La Jolla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon Hills, they will host Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season.
