Baseball Recap: Southern Christian's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Christian). Everything went their way against the Victory Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday as the Southern Christian Patriots made off with a 12-4 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jedd Scott was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Noah Sawhill was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Southern Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Southern Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 10.33 strikeouts in those games compared to only three in the others. As for Victory Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Southern Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Lafayette Christian on the 13th. Victory Christian Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Russell Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
