Baseball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westland last Monday, Worthington Kilbourne came back down to earth. The Wolves took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Charles Cardinals on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Worthington Kilbourne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Worthington Kilbourne's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-1. As for St. Charles, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Worthington Kilbourne has already played their next game, a 13-4 win against Westland on the 9th. As for St. Charles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Westerville North on the 9th.
