Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Rams vs. Kimball Jaguars

The St. Mary's Rams will head out to challenge the Kimball Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While St. Mary's victory against West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. St. Mary's had just enough and edged out West 3-2. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-94) St. Mary's actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 10-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Kimball made easy work of Lincoln on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-22.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Kimball, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

St. Mary's took their win against Kimball in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
