Baseball Preview: Mooresville Pioneers vs. North Central Panthers        
        
		
            
 The Mooresville Pioneers will take on the North Central Panthers at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Mooresville will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
 On Thursday,  it was close, but  Mooresville sidestepped Plainfield for  a  4-2 win.
  Levi Dorn was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with a  stolen base and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Deklan Thompson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for North Central, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  victory over Ben Davis  on Wednesday.
  Jackson Dinnsen looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Rykin Matthias, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Stryker Swenson, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Mooresville's win was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 19-2. As for North Central, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record  this season.
 Everything went Mooresville's way against North Central in their previous meeting  back in May of 2022 as Mooresville made off with  an  11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mooresville since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
