Football Recap: Spencerville Comes Up Short

Spencerville managed to slip by Allen East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bearcats had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Spencerville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Allen East, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spencerville is set to face off against their familiar foe Lima Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Allen East will challenge rival Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
