Softball Recap: Avalon Takes a Loss

Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-3 to the LaPoynor Flyers.

Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for LaPoynor, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Mildred will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Avalon surely won't give up without a fight. As for LaPoynor, they will face off against Kerens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
