DeQuan Turner and Laquan Barber provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bell. The connection went for 82 yards, the longest such play in DCIAA - Eastern this season.
Anacostia's Turner recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Griffin last week. Turner scampered for 99 yards on the play and finished with 108 on the day as his team defeated Bell.
Anacostia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Turner threw for 222 and four touchdowns and Barber had 80 yards receiving. Don'Tae Lee helped Anacostia's passing attack out by catching three balls for 58 yards.
Anacostia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Turner has thrown for 910 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Lee has 16 catches for 311 yards. Barber leads the league in rushing with 173 yards.
The marquee game in DCIAA - Eastern this week will be the clash between Cato June's team and Woodson. The Indians enters the game ranked 12th in the state, while the Warriors ranks 10th.
Woodson made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,760 from 6,895. The improvement came about via a 32-8 victory over Wilson last week.
