Softball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Franklin won the last time they faced Enka and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Jets. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four games in a row.

Suzanna Cabe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Meliah Mason was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Franklin's record now sits at 13-6. As for Enka, their loss ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-3.

Franklin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Smoky Mountain on the 21st. As for Enka, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against A.C. Reynolds on the 21st.
