Softball Recap: Moundridge Comes Up Short

Moundridge dropped to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Inman Teutons, falling 12-2. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Teutons from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Aspyn Stos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Inman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.1 runs this season.

On Inman's side, Lyla Levin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Levin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Taylor Froese was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Maddi Parsons was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Inman beat Moundridge by a score of 14-7 later that day.
