Basketball Recap: Lamar County Comes Up Short

Lamar County suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 39-13 to the Smithville Seminoles. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lamar County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Smithville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Lamar County will challenge Tuscaloosa Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Smithville has already played their next game, a 44-32 win against Starkville Christian on the 24th.
