Soccer Game Preview: Somerset vs. Bedford

The Somerset Eagles will challenge the Bedford Bisons on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Somerset is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Chestnut Ridge a 10-0 shutout. Somerset haven't had any issues with Chestnut Ridge recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Bedford made easy work of Carrick on Thursday and carried off a 6-0 win. Bedford might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Carrick with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Owen Schrock (2), Lincoln Sipes (2), Owen Lantz, and Ben Schrock.

Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Somerset, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Somerset might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Bedford when the teams last played on October 6th. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 4-0.
