Kettering not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 4, 2024. Everything went their way against the Milford Mavericks as they made off with a 10-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Captains in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won eight in a row.

CARSON REKAR made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. REKAR was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, ZACH HELKA was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. KAIDEN KAPA was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.

Kettering's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Milford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kettering will face off against Plymouth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
