Basketball Game Preview: Columbia River Rapids vs. Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors

The Columbia River Rapids will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbia River is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Friday, Columbia River didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mark Morris, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory. Given the Rapids' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Monarchs are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cle Elum-Roslyn). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Goldendale 79-28. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 32 points or more this season.

Columbia River pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Cle Elum-Roslyn, their record now sits at 5-1.
