Basketball Recap: Lightridge Takes a Loss

Lightridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Thomas Jefferson Vikings an easy 60-38 victory. The matchup marked the Bolts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lightridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Thomas Jefferson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lightridge will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Loudoun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Thomas Jefferson, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Kent at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in New Kent's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
