Basketball Recap: Jeff Exinor Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Calvert Hall

McDonogh hadn't done well against Calvert Hall recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The McDonogh Eagles came out on top against the Calvert Hall Cardinals by a score of 57-49. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-57 back in December of 2024.

McDonogh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeff Exinor, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Bj Hopkins, who went 7 of 13 en route to 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

McDonogh's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Calvert Hall, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

McDonogh will face off against St. Frances Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McDonogh is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Calvert Hall, they will challenge Loch Raven on Monday.
