Baseball Game Preview: Panther Creek Catamounts vs. Holly Springs Golden Hawks

Panther Creek is 1-9 against Holly Springs since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Catamounts will be playing at home against the Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Panther Creek came up short against Apex Friendship and fell 10-5. The Catamounts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Panther Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Doucette, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Jake Day, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Holly Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to La Mirada.

Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Holly Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
