Basketball Recap: Brevard Wins Going Away Against Tuscola

Brevard posted their biggest victory since December 4, 2024 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 63-41 margin over the Tuscola Mountaineers. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Mountaineers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 41-39 defeat.

Despite the loss, Tuscola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ace Rogers almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. Gavin Chouinard was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Brevard pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Tuscola, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
