Football Recap: Serra Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Serra fell victim to Sierra Canyon and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Trailblazers. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Trailblazers are ranked third).

A big part of Sierra Canyon's win came down to the chemistry between Laird Finkel and his top target De'Markus Barnes. Finkel rushed for 55 yards while Barnes gained 84 total yards and a touchdown.

Serra has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Sierra Canyon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Serra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-10 defeat against Loyola on the 9th. As for Sierra Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 45-14 win against Chaminade on the 10th.
