Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McGregor). They put the hurt on the Connally Cadets with a sharp 23-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Emma Knox made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.
In other batting news, Khloe Peterson was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Addyson Todd was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
McGregor's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
