Baseball Recap: Andalusia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Charles Henderson typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Andalusia proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kielan Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Will Dalton was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Asher Bentley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Andalusia's win bumped their record up to 11-8-1. As for Charles Henderson, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11.

Andalusia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
