St. Monica lost to Salesian back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mariners came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1.

St. Monica had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-12.

Garrett Robertson paced St. Monica's offense, picking up 25 kills. Robertson got some help from Sam Zimmermann and his 31 assists. Zimmermann was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

St. Monica's win bumped their record up to 16-13-2. As for Salesian, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-17.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Monica is set to take on their familiar foe Bosco Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Salesian will challenge rival St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
